NYC Triathlon 2010 Updates
There are thousands of triathletes to compete in the Nautica New York City Triathlon on Sunday, July 18, 2010. The racers start by swimming 1.5K in the Hudson River (from 98th St. to near the 79th St. Boat Basin).
Then, the next task is a 40K bike ride from Riverside Park through the Bronx to Central Park. And the final leg is a 10K run in Central Park.
New Yorker Rebeccah Wassner defends her title and wins the women’s division at an unofficial time of 2:01:30. Twin sister Laurel Wassner is right behind her.
In the meantime, Filip Osaly wins the men’s division. The Czech racer’s victory is a big surprise as everyone expected American Matt Reed to win the event.
