F1: Webber goes first in Monte Carlo

Australian Mark Webber, F1 driver for the Red Bull Renault team, won the fastest time in the  qualifying session for the Monaco Grand Prix circuit and will leave from pole position for today’s race.

He will be followed by Robert Kubica (Renault), Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull Renault) and Felipe Massa (Ferrari).

Circuit record holder (1:14.439), Formula 1 World Champion Michael Schumacher (Mercedes) has managed only the seventh time, while his teammate Nico Rosberg won the sixth position.

Webber has succeeded  a remarkable performance, given that he managed to brake the record set in 2004 by Schumacher, with almost one second.
