Seventh pole for Vettel in Hungary

Red Bull Racing’s Sebastian Vettel qualified in pole position ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix this weekend. This is Red Bull’s 11th pole in the 12 races this season. He claimed his seventh pole of the season and fourth in a row.

At the Hungaroring he lapped in one minute 18.773secs. Mark Webber claimed the second position with four tenths of a second slower than the leader. Third-on-the-grid is Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso with 1.2secs adrift. His team-mate Felipe Massa, who suffered a near-fatal accident in qualifying on this track just over a year ago, is fourth.

Lewis Hamilton the current Championship leader did well in a subdued McLaren to claim fifth.
