Slovenia to take loan to help Greece
The government in Ljubljana is considering a foreign loan in order to help the Greek State, blocked by a general strike yesterday and seized by extreme violence.
Greek city streets have been turned into a genuine battleground between police forces and anarchists.
While Greece is paralyzed by strikes and violent protest movements, a trade unionists reply to the drastic austerity plan recently announced by the Socialist government, Slovenia, member of the euro area tries to borrow money and to amend the budget to provide the Greek State financial assistance worth 110 billion over the next three years.
The Slovenian Finance Minister, Franc Krizanic, has emphasized that Slovenia will charge Greece an interest one percent higher than that of Athens agreed with the IMF and the European Union.
“No country participating in this project to help Greece will lose” said the Slovenian official.
