Apple adds video calls to iPhone 4 with “FaceTime” feature
Apple CEO Steve Jobs has already announced a front-facing camera on the new iPhone 4, which reveals the new feature using that camera — FaceTime, which allows users to make video phone calls.
During a developers conference in San Francisco on Monday, Steve said the new iPhone 4 will be able to make “Face Time” video calls to other iPhone 4 users through the two cameras mounted on either side of the device.
The feature will only be available over a Wi-Fi internet connection this year, while the company works with wireless carriers to make it work over 3G networks, he added.
“We’re really happy with this. This is one of the moments that reminds us of why we do what we do.” said Jobs.
