The Austrian player of tennis, Jürgen Melzer, has made it to the semi finals of the German Open, which is taking place in Hamburg. Jurgen Melzer has defeated Potito Starace with a score of 6-4 6-1 and got the chance to step on the next stair, which is one short from the throne.
Jürgen Melzer was born on 22nd of May in the year 1981 in Vienna. The left-handed player of tennis won the singles boy’s event at Wimbledon.
Like Rafael Nadal, Jürgen Melzer can be right-handed for day to day activities. On the 19th of March in the year 2007, he got the ranking for the doubles of No. 17. On the 5th of July of this year, 2010, he got the position of No. 15 in the high ranking of career.
Jürgen Melzer was a recognized as one of the best of the players as he passed through the round three in the event of the Grand Slam. He put an end to this streak after he has reached the semi final round of the French Open which was held this year.
This year, he also achieved triumph in the doubles events of Wimbledon in 2010, where Philipp Petzschner was his partner.
