India Vs Sri Lanka live score updates
Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat in the first test against India at Galle. The Sri Lankan openers made a quick start with both Tillakaratne Dilshan and Tharanga Paranavitana taking on the Indian bolwers.
Paranavitana did all the early damage, racing to 20 runs while Dilshan was still on four. However Dilshan was quick to catch up racing past Paranavitana in the 9th over as he hit Ishant Sharma for three fours.
Meanwhile the Indian bolwers have failed to strike the right cords, and have been unimpressive throughout the morning. There were some good balls though, but they failed to keep up the pressure and the Sri Lankan openers made use of every opportunity they were given.
India should consider themselves unlucky not to have Dilshan back in the pavillion. Debutant Mithun jagged one back from off stump in the fourth over and it crashed into Dilshans pads. Replays showed tha it would have leg stump, but umpire Harper thought otherwise.
