Indian openers Gautham and Dinesh Karthik got India off to a steady start in their final group game of the Asia Cup 2010, before a couple of quick wickets pegged them back. Gambhir scored 23 runs before falling to a brillant catch from Suraj Randiv. Karthik, who is replacing the injured Sehwag, is unbeaten on 40 along with Rohit Sharma who is yet to score. Virat Kohli meanwhile has been dismissed for 10.
Earlier in the day, Sri Lankan Captain KC Sangakkara won the toss and elected to field first. Spinner Muralitharan and fast bowler Malinga were both rested. Rangana Herath was included in the starting eleven.
Both India and Sri Lanka have qualified for the final on the 24th of June, and this last group game for both the teams.
