The Earth could become too hot for people

The tendency to heat up that the currents of the Earth seem to have developed could result in the raise of air temperatures to a degree beyond the bearable.

A new study analysing the most optimistic hypothesis of the worst available in terms of global warming reveals that, if green house effect gas emission continues at today’s level, temperatures registered on the globe mass deceases in the following centuries.

A 12 degrees augmentation of the air’s temperature would make it impossible for half of the human beings to live on Earth.

Exposure at temperatures over 35 degrees on wet thermometer for more than 6 hours will have lethal effects on people and other mammals, says M. Hruber, member of the research team from the UniversityPurdue, Indiana.

Hurber also declared that, although there are other areas on the globe where higher temperatures may be registered(38 Celsius degrees), the real temperature that must be taken into consideration is that indicated by the wet thermometer, humidity playing an important part in this equation.
