Louis Vuitton’s most powerful brands in the world of luxury
A study of the top most valuable brands in the world has ranked first the Louis Vuitton brand worth about 19.8 billion dollars.
Research conducted by polling institute Millward Brown market Optima also identified, in the second position, the Hermes brand, with a value of 8.45 billion dollars, followed by Gucci, with 7.58 billion dollars, Chanel with 5.54 billion dollars and Hennessy, 5, 36 billion dollars.
For the evaluation Millward Brown used the economic approach, the brand’s intrinsic values, derived from its ability to generate the need for its products.
Values are represented, the researchers say ,by the sum of all future earnings that the brand aims to achieve reduced to this value.
“Brands which focus on tradition seem to be on top. This year, Louis Vuitton, Hermes and Gucci have focused on tradition , “said Lauren Sherman, editor of Fashionista site.
