Ethiopian Prime minister Declares Victory in Election
The election board, after partial analysis of the results of Sunday’s election in Ethiopia has revealed that Prime Minister Meles Zenawari’s party is leading in the polls. However, the EU and Human Rights Watch have expressed their concern over the conduct of the election.
Though the eight party coalition was a force to reckon with, the results showed otherwise. EPRDF is leading in the opposition stronghold Oromia region and the capital.
With three-quarters of the results already declared, an election board official said that the EPRDF is staying ahead in all the regions and is on the threshold of a massive win.
