CCN reporter Christiane Amanpour hosts ABC’s ‘This Week’
Christiane Amanpour is all ready to make her first day as host of ABC’s “This Week.” She is replacing George Stephanopoulos. Stephanopoulos moved to ABC’s “Good Morning America” late last year. The Sunday political talk show competes with NBC’s “Meet the Press,” CBS’ “Face the Nation” and “Fox News Sunday.”
Speaker of The House Nancy Pelosi and the Secretary of Defence Robert Gates are the guests on her first broadcast. It came as an amusement when Amanpour was a surprisingly hired by ABC. She had spent nearly a quarter-century at CNN.
After Stephanopoulos’ exit Jake Tapper filled in as “This Week” host.
