US-Canada oil pipeline pollutes the River Michigan

The oil pipeline connecting from the Indiana state of US to the Ontario state of Canada has spilled into the Kalamazoo River in Michigan.

The length of this pipe line is about 76cm and carries 8m gallons of oil per day. More than 8 Lakhs gallons of oil has been spilled out into the river.

The cause of this leakage was said to be a malfunction by a spokesman.

And the spill has resulted in the death of fishes, other aquatic organism and also endangered the various species of living organisms in this river.

There has been a pungent smell hanging over the Kalamazoo river valley as said by a local media
