India Vs Sri Lanka test series underway
The first test between India and Sri Lanka is underway after a short delay due to a wet outfield. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first.
Tharanga Paranavitana got things rolling early, he currently has 18 from 16 balls, while fellow opener Dilshan has 4 to his name. A short while ago Sri Lanka were 24/0 from from 4 overs.
Fast bowler Abhimanyu Mithun made his debut in this match and Indian skipper MS Dhoni expects him to step and shoulder responsibilty with the new ball.
Spinner Pragyan Ojha is also in as the second spinner in the side after Harbhajan Singh. Yuvraj Singh is also back in the side after being overlooked for the Asia Cup 2010 which was held last month.

Muralitharans last match and the Sri Lankan spinner just needs another eight wickets in this test to take his overall wicket tally to 800. Herath is the second spinner in the side, while Malinga and Welegedara are the two fast bolwers.
