Australia Vs Pakistan 2nd test, day 4 highlights
Pakistan are on the verge of a historic win against Australia in the second test at Leeds. With just 4o runs needed for victory and seven wickets in hand, Pakistan will be the firm favourites to win, but given recent history, there will surely be some nervous moments in the Pakistani camp.
After folding for 88 in the first innings, Australia manged 349 runs second time around. The highlight of the day was Steven Smiths aggresssive 77 which helped Australia stretch their lead to 179 runs.
Chasing 180 for victory, Pakistan openers made a steady start. However Butt was snared by Hilfenhaus just when he looked to settle in. Farhat and Ali then consolidated, putting up a 110 run stand and taking the game away from the Aussies.
Australia managed to get two quick wickets in the dying overs of day 4 and putting Pakistan in a spot of bother.
It all comes down to the first half hour of play tommorrow. Pakistan just need to bat with confidence and not do anything silly. Meanwhile a wicket or two could get the Aussies up and running.
