Bloom Energy reveals the Bloom Box

Bloom Energy Company revealed their latest technology, the Bloom Box, which is reportedly able to power the average high-consumption American home.
That’s what founder of Bloom Energy, K.R. Sridhar claimed on 60 Minutes last night.
The Bloom Box is actually an oxygen generator from a NASA Mars program that’s been converted with more than $400 million in private funding, into a fuel cell.
The box consists of two cells which actually are two inexpensive ceramic disks painted with a secret green “ink” on one side and a black “ink” on the other.
These two disks are separated by a cheap metal alloy and stacked into a cube of different capabilities – a stack of 64 can power a small business.
The cells cost $700,000 to $800,000 and are currently used by important customers as FedEx and Wal-mart.
