Paraguay will no doubt start as favourites in this game, but beating Japan will not be an easy walkover. Japan have been impressive this year with wins over Cameroon and Denmark. This is the first time they have made it to the top 16 on foreign soil and they would like an upset win in this game against the top side from group F.
Both teams havent been flashy as far as goal scoring is concerned. In fact they have scored a miserly 7 between them. They defence has also been strong though with both teams conceding just 3 goals each.
Team news:
Paraguay’s Antolin Alcaraz who missed the last game due to injury, has been traning for the past few days and could feature in tonights match. Meanwhile Carlos Bonet is likely to get a run in place of suspended midfielder Victor Caceres.
Japan on the other hand havent made any changes to their side since their first game. With no real reason to change anything, expect this to continue.
