Important things from the Black Hat ATM Hack conference
Hacking is a process of making money.The world of hacking is roughly divided into three groups. “Black hats”, “gray hats”, “white hats”.
While the former prefer corporate info the latter helps companies to a put a spoke in the wheel of its counterpart.
“Gray hats” leaves a company vulnerable to lost assetswith diminished reputation to find security weaknesses. They then decide on to expose them immediately or embarrass them later by exposing the problem.
Facebook encourages hacking by employees while others encourage outsiders to break in or go away.
AT&T discovered a breach on its website which exposed 114,000 email addresses and numbers of iPad 3G owners.
Bug market is selling or trading the flaws which are uncovered and sells for around $75,000 online.
