STARCRAFT II: $1.5 million copies sold in 2 days

During the first 24 hours of the launching of Starcraft II, the game sold approximately 1 million units and got higher in the second day that reaches about 1.5 million of units making it the biggest game debut for the year 2010.

Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty was launched on July 27, 2010 simultaneously in countries such as North America, South Korea, Australia, Europe, New Zealand, Brazil, Chile, Singapore, Indonesia, Argentina, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines and also to regions such as Macau, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

During the launch, more than 8,000 games store worldwide opened at exactly midnight of July 27 to allow players the chance to grab a copy early.
