Nations Unite For Eurovision Extravaganza

Once again it’s time for the musical talents of the Europe to come together for the annual Eurovision song Contest – and undeterred by the global recession, this year’s final is set to be as spectacular as ever.

Since it began in 1956,the contest has been associated with terrible songs, dodgy costumes and weird and wonderful performances, but in recent years it has worked hard to throw off this image and is fast becoming an event that showcases some of the best artists that Europe has to offer.

However unlike last year – when Norway were runaway favorites and went on to score a record-breaking victory – this year’s contest is wide open, and any one of a number of countries could be crowned winner.
