Canada gives $2M for victims of flood in Pakistan
The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) announced last Tuesday that they will provide $2M for emergency assistance to individuals who were victims of the flood that happened in Pakistan that affects 3.2 million people and 1,500 killed.
The monetary support that Canada will give aims to provide the needs of over 150,000 families.
Of the $2 million, 750,000 will be distributed to the International Committee of Red Cross for the distribution of water, shelter, clothing and other health care services that the victims need. The rest of the money will go to the World Food Programme to provide food-assistance to the victims.
