Cradle of civilization in Iraq beckons
Housing three major UNESCO World Heritage sites, Iraq is rightly known as “the Cradle of Civilization”. Conflict- stricken environment has been stopping many tourists from visiting the ancient wonders of the country.
Located on the banks of Euphrates River, the ancient city of Babylon can be a visual treat. The ruined city of Hatra, the ancient city of Ashur and Samarra archaeological city are a must visit in Iraq.
Most of these exotic sites, being in dangerous territories, travel is not a good option.
Travelers are advised by U.S and British Foreign offices to wait till the security conditions are completely safe.
