McLaren F1 Celebrates its 20th Anniversary
26th May, McLaren Automotive celebrated the 20th anniversary in a very classy manner. The Party was at McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, England.
McLaren F1 started the program by inviting F1 owners past and present to a celebration dinner at the Centre. The owners were showed gratitude by displaying to them 21 McLaren F1 road and race cars, the largest number of F1 cars ever assembled in one place.
In the year 1988 McLaren made the decision to expand from Formula One and design and build what they then called “the finest sports car the world had ever seen.” and till date lived upto what they expected.
In March 1990, the team created that car that came together for the first time.
After two years in 1992, the McLaren F1 road car was launched on May 28, in Monaco, with the first production car delivered to its owner in December 1993.
