World record! 77,803 fans at a hockey game!
Germany, the competition host, had a good start at the Hockey World Championship.
The Germans were won the match against the U.S. team , a great national who has won the Olympic title twice (1960 and 1980).
It was the first victory of Germany in a hockey face off with U.S. after 17 years. It is, however, true that success came before a U.S. team playing without NHL stars because the play-off has not ended yet.
However, the Germans are still proud of their victory.
They also set a world record in terms of spectators who attended the hockey game! 77,803 people watched live the winning game against the Americans , and that because the dispute took place on a special skating arena, the football team Schalke 04 Gelsenkirchen Veltins-Arena.
World Hockey Championship takes place between the 7th and the 23rd of May .
