Florida Election Results 2010 – Florida Primary 2010
With over 80% of the votes counted in the Sunshine state, the Democratic Senate primary has been won by Rep. Kendrick Meek who defeated real estate businessman Jeff Greene.
The billionaire is said to have spent over $39 million of his own fortune to win what is being called the “50 million primary”.
On the other side, Tea Party favorite Republican Marco Rubio beat William Escoffery III and William Billy Kogut in GOP primary.
There would be a very important three way battle between Republican Rubio, Independent Charlie Crist and Democratic Party winner Kendrick Meek.
On what concerns Rick Scott, he was declared the victor of the GOP nomination for governor in Florida beating opponents Attorney General Bill McCollum and Mike McAlister.
