Traffic Jam in China not Over yet

Traffic Jam in China not over yet

Lasting for over 10 days, the China traffic jam is a unique event in history with more than 60 miles of traffic jam along Beijing-Tibet highway.

“Virtually overnight, local authorities had managed to disperse the congestion,” says Adrienne Mong of MSNBC.

“By the time we reached the area, all we encountered were the garden-variety traffic jams here and there.”

So, if the reports are correct, it means that traveling along China’s G110 National Expressway is a real pleasure.

Not at all.

With construction on the G110 highway scheduled to continue until at least mid-September, this situation won’t come to an end.

The main culprits on which you can put the blame in this case, are the trucks and construction, but state media reported that smaller accidents and broken-down cars make it worse.

China has reached the top of the automobile age, by acquiring over 10 million cars, with Beijing  as having the world’s most painful, unreliable, and anger-inducing commutes, according to IBM’s 2010 Commuter Pain Survey.
