One more protester killed in Kashmir Valley of India
Srinagar, India — In a fresh clash between security forces and protesters in the Pampore area, outskirts of Srinagar, one person has been killed and 15 others have been injured, including 13 policemen on Sunday.
The security forces opened fire when the protesters tried to block the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway even after repeated requests to disperse. The crowd turned violent after the police tried to chase them by cane-charging, teargassing and firing in the air.
Meanwhile, curfew continued in the violence-hit Kashmir Valley — Anantnag, Srinagar, Kulgam, Baramulla, Budgam, Shopian, Gnaderbal, Badipora and Pulwana.
Yesterday, in another clash, two people were killed and fifty others were injured, including 30 policemen.
