Didier Drogba Elbow Surgery Success
Ivory Coast skipper Didier Drogba is still in doubt for the World Cup despite undergoing a sucessful operation on his fractured arm. The star strikerbroke his arm during a friendly match against Japan, which Ivory Coast won 2-0.
Drogba started the game strongly scoring in the 13th minute, but he had to leave the field shortly after after a clash with defender Marcus Tulio Tanaka.
The Ivory Coast Federation (FIF) saidthat they are confident that he will recover quickly, but stopped short of saying how long he could be out for.
Drogbas absense could be a crucial blow for Ivory Coast who kick off their World Cup campaign against Portugal on 15 June. They are placed inwhat is believed to be the toughest group in the tournament with Brazil and North Korea being the other two side
