Fathers can get postnatal depression as well

More and more new dads experience postpartum depression symptoms, but these cases are seldom detected by doctors and treated very carelessly, warn experts.

One in 10 men suffer from lack of sleep, sadness, fear of responsibility and the type of depression that, until recently, was awarded only to women.

A team of researchers from Eastern Virginia Medical School has based its research on the results of 43 studies which involved 28,004 patients from 16 countries including the United States and Britain.

They found that men are happier in the first weeks after birth but start suffering from depression after about three months,up to 6.
