Google launches a smart TV service

Google Inc. launched yesterday, a Smart TV service, which allows users to search Live Broadcaster programs but also content from Internet sites like YouTube, the BBC announces.

Through special and normal TVs connected to a Google, people will have Internet access and can download all programs sought.

Sony will manufacture the first television dedicated to these applications; it will be available in the fall.

“Video content must be consumed on your biggest and best TV in-house . No PC or mobile phone are allowed,” said Rishi Chandra, Google representative.

Currently, over 4 billion people worldwide have TVs and  70 billion U.S. dollars are spent annually for TV advertising.
