Organic food health benefits not proven

It is a common belief that organic foods are filled with health benefits. A recent review by London School of Hygiene and Tropical Health researchers in Britain reports that only less amount of research and analysis has gone into finding the detailed benefits of organic foods.

They found that the negligible amount of study done have been based on short-term effects and not long-term ones. The research team has not obtained evidence to confirm the variation of nutrient content in both organic and conventional foods.

Organic foods, being cultivated without using synthetic fertilizers, antibiotics or hormones and pesticides can be beneficial for health and environment but the question about their nutritional value still remains.
