Caroline Giuliani: Arrested for Shoplifting
Caroline Giuliani, a 20-year old Harvard student, was arrested for trying to leave the Upper East Side Sephora with unpaid cosmetics worth $150.
Giuliani is the daughter of the former New York City Mayor, Rudy Giuliani. She was taken out of the store in hand cuffs and was escorted to their local precinct.
When the store knew her identity, they didn’t want to press charges but the officers took her in.
After 2 hours in the local precint, Giuliani left with a desk appearance ticket and was accompanied by Donna Hanover, her mother.
The Manhattan District Attroney Office did not comment on the issue whether or not she will be prosecuted or not. He just said the the Giuliani family wants the media to respect their rights to privacy.
