Jennifer Lopez to be ‘Idol’ judge
Jennifer Lopez, will be seen as a judge for the hit reality show “American Idol”. Sources said that the multi-talented singer-dancer-actor was close to signing a deal to join Fox TV. She would be replacing comedian-talk show host and former judge Ellen DeGeneres. Degeneres had judged the show in the last season and announced on Thursday that she would be leaving the showing. This gave ‘JLo’ the opportunity to return to television but this time she would be seen as a judge.
Meanwhile DeGeneres said in a statement that she loved discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, but it was hard for her to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings.
