Obama and Merkel have economy phone deals
U.S. President Barack Obama and German Chancellor Angela Merkel had two phone calls within three days, during which they discussed the effects of the crisis.
According to a White House official discussion topics were about the financial market turmoil and what measures can be taken to increase investor confidence, Agerpres notes.
U.S. stocks have recorded losses last week, amid investor fears about the situation in Greece. Investors are afraid as well that the crisis could spread to Portugal, Spain and Italy. Under these conditions,both European and Asian stock markets declined.
European Union and the IMF approved a rescue plan worth 110 billion $ for Greece, money that will be available within days.
