Volcanic ash, for sale
An Icelandic company has launched a unique souvenir. It is the Eyjafjallajökull volcanic ash, which can now be purchased on the Internet.
The nammi. business has proven successful, given that, ten days after its launch, there have been orders from more than 130 countries, AFP reported.
For 23.80 euros,all interested persons receive a container of 160 grams of volcanic ash.
“It all started when a foreign customer – collector – asked us if we can get hold of volcanic ash”, related Sofus Gustavsson, owner of online store. “Then I decided to sell. Now ash is delivered worldwide, boasts the businessman.
In addition, all profits will be donated by Gustavsson to ICE-SAR , an Icelandic organization that helps farmers remove the tons of ash that affected crops in the area, write theblogismine.com
