Ash cloud closes airports in Spain and Morocco
Volcano ash in Iceland seems to be playing hide-and-seek with air traffic in Europe. When everything appeared to be under control, the cloud effects closed another airport again.
Today, seven airports in Spain, three in the South and four from the Canary Islands were closed, announced representatives AENA, according to a statemenfrom the Spanish air traffic control bodyt .
Airports in Seville, Badajoz and Jerez were closed at 06.00 local time. The same step was taken two hours earlier regarding four airports in the Canary Islands, two in Tenerife, one of the islands of La Palma and La Gomera.
Morocco also decided to provisionally close five airports this morning in Rabat and Casablanca.
