iPod helps UK troops learn faster
After infiltrating the commercial market, the iPad now travels to UK troops to help them learn how to handle a fire mission.
According to media reports, the UK military have been given an opportunity to use this app in the learning process. The troops are learning how to fire artillery from several miles away from the enemy.
Sources said that the soldiers at Britain’s Royal School of Artillery are learning faster through this Apple’s tablet than sitting in a classroom and listening to instructions.
Army training officer Major Rich Gill said, “If we can use this sort of technology, we can probably shorten the amount of training and that is pretty key nowadays when people are so committed to operations in Afghanistan.”
