Chelsea Clinton marries Marc Mezvinsky
Rhinebeck, N.Y. – Chelsea Clinton’s wedding is called the “wedding of the century” and it has captured the attention of almost the whole world.
The daughter of former US President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton tied the knot to Marc Mezvinsky Saturday evening in Rhinebeck, N.Y. in the presence of very selected invitees.
Philadelphia raised Marc, 32, is the son of former lowa congressman Ed Mezvinsky and former Pennsylvania congresswoman Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinksy. He met Chelsea, 30-year-old, at a Democratic political retreat in Hilton Head, S.C. in 1993.
Clinton and Hillary released a statement shortly after the wedding ceremony – “Today, we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts, surrounded by family and their close friends. We could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together, and we are so happy to welcome Marc into our family. On behalf of the newlyweds, we want to give special thanks to the people of Rhinebeck for welcoming us and to everyone for their well-wishes on this special day.”
