Samsung Galaxy Tab to be released in Q4 of 2010
Short time after Apple iPad has been launched, Samsung comes up with their response to Apple’s tablet. It is called Samsung Galaxy Tab, and it’s scheduled to be unveiled soon.
Concerning the amount of information given to media, the company wasn’t so restrictive.
They have posted on their online portal accessories for the upcoming 7-inch Android tablet, complete with pricing.
Featuring a neat set of HDMI and audio output ports, the “table charging station” (on the top left), makes the Galaxy Tab a great choice for watching movies into your HDTV. Its price – €54 ($69).
A little expensive for its use is the keyboard peripheral costing €82 ($105), while the leather case is only €41 ($52).
Samsung Galaxy Tab is inspired by Samsung’s popular Galaxy S Android 2.2 powered handset as it features the same 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM.
Additionally, the tablet will have a 7-inch display with a 1,204 x 600 resolution, a 3.2-megapixel camera, a VGA front facing camera, 3G, GPS, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and a PowerVR SGX 540 graphics processor.
Samsung Galaxy Tab is yet to be announced officially, being expected to be released in the fourth quarter of 2010 (Q4). The price details will be available only after official announcement.
