 Labour MP Stephen Timms was  stabbed on the street, yesterday the BBC announces.
Stephen Timms, aged 54, is in the hospital after being stabbed in the stomach during an event in Newham, London. Police said the MP is not in any life threatening condition.
A 21-year-old girl was arrested after the attack, but police gave no more information about what  happened.
