Hurricane Frank gets stronger
Formed in the Pacific off Mexico’s coast, Hurricane Frank has maximum sustained winds Wednesday near 75 mph (120 kph).
It has reached this status in the Pacific, becoming the third hurricane of the 2010 season in the area.
The National Hurricane Center in Miami predict that Frank might get stronger while moving away from Mexico’s southwestern coast.
Hurricane Frank is currently located about 170 miles (270 kilometers) south of Manzanillo, Mexico, and is moving west-northwest.
Frank’s status on the hurricane scale is currently 1, as the scale is a 5-point one. It was at 385 km per hour when last reported.
