Tropical Storm Earl to become Hurricane
The new weather conditions in the Caribbean might represent a good environment for Tropical Storm Earl to develop into a hurricane.
The Storm Earl is expected to reach the hurricane status within range of the Northern Leeward Islands sometime Saturday night, the National Hurricane Center in Miami said.
Earl’s winds reached a top speed of 60 mph early Saturday.
On the other hand, category 2 storm Danielle weakened its strength far from land in the Atlantic.
“Although this system has changed little in organization during the last several hours, environmental conditions remain favorable for a tropical depression to form during the next couple of days,” the Center said.
Forecasters said the system has 80% chances to form a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours.
