Talibans have attacked the largest NATO base
NATO home base in Afghanistan was assaulted yesterday after the insurgents had warned of a new jihad.
NATO and Afghan troops immediately rejected the assault of the insurgents
The unprecedented offensive announced by the Talibans a few days ago was continued yesterday morning with an attack on the largest NATO base in Afghanistan, Bagram, where U.S. troops are stationed. Just a day before a suicide bombing that had targeted at a convoy of NATO troops made six victims.
The attack targeted several sectors of the base and was sustained by trucks filled with missiles, grenades and automatic weapons, insurgents succeeding without actually entering the military complex.
