Apple to launch Safari 5 at Apple WWDC 2010

Apple WWDC 2010 is not all about the next-generation iPhone, as have been rumored. The next Safari is to be announced this Monday at the Worldwide Developers Conference, having been loaded with a large package of features.

The new Safari 5 will include improvements such as a “smarter” address field, hardware acceleration of Web page elements for the Windows version, improved history searching, a new private browsing icon, and much more.

Steve Jobs will also talk about the multiple new features Safari 5 will include: Safari Reader, improved performance, better page caching, faster DNS prefetching, a Bing search option, improved HTML5 support, and more developer tools.

Here are the most important features Apple is to present at the WWDC 2010.

• Safari Reader would provide an easy way to read content available online.
• JavaScript engine would be much more powerful.
• Page caching and DNS prefetching would speed up browsing.
• Microsoft Bing would join Google and Yahoo as search engine options.
• HTML5 support would be improved.
• New development tools to lure web developers to the Safari browser.
• Address field would become much smarter. This has become a strong feature from all rival browsers.
• Tabs would be given more focus over individual windows.
• Safari would finally add support for hardware acceleration on Windows.
• Search history would be improved with more information.
• Private Browsing would be made more accessible.
• Top Sites and History too would be given more focus.
