Transniestria wants more Russian military
The Russian contingent in Transniestria requires extensive security in the area of the Nistru river, as the dialogue with Moldova “remains unpredictable and there is some possibilty of emergence of conflicts,” according to a representative Transnistrian Moldovan media quoted.
Transnistria is representative in the Joint Control Commission, Oleg Beleakov who made this statement at the meeting “peacekeeping operations”, Mission organized by Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Moldova.
The entire contingent of peacekeeping troops in Transnistria sums up about 1374 persons, of which 453 Moldovan, 431 Russian and 490 of the Transnistrian region.
