Pakistan has blocked YouTube site

Access to the most popular video site has been blocked in Pakistan, the BBC announces.

Officials in Islamabad have not given any explanation for this decision. But according to those dealing with Internet services , the cause would be a piece of material containing defamatory information.

In addition, yesterday a court decided to deny Pakistan access to the Facebook network because of the Prophet Muhammad drawings that appear on the site.

To avoid inconvenience, preventive justice decided to block access to Facebook until May 31. The decision affects 2.4 million Pakistanis who have accounts on this social network.

And some Wikipedia pages have also been  blocked.
