Britain’s beaches recommended for having excellent water quality

British’s best beaches received importance today as more than half were recommended for having excellent water quality.

Its been three years and still receiving disappointing results because of the extremely wet summers. But in the recent survey the number of beaches failing the Marine Conservation Society’s tests has fallen from 66 last year to 41 this year.

But, when strict new EU standards will be introduced in 2015, they say that one out seven beaches will fail the seven beaches will rigorous testing, including famous tourist hotspots such as Rock in Cornwall and Weston-super-Mare’s main beach.

MCS said that, 1 out of 7 seems to be a good figure, but still more than 80 beaches around England and Wales will fail to meet even minimum water quality standards under the EU regime if proper actions are not taken now.
