Anti Berlusconi movie at Cannes
The Italian Minister of Culture announced that he will attend the Cannes Film Festival (May 12 to 23).
According to AFP, the minister disagrees with the selection of film Draquila “, inspired by the post-earthquake human drama of L’Aquila.
“It is a propaganda film,” Sandro Bondi accused, whose political career is closely linked that of Berlusconi. “The film distorts facts and insults the Italian people,” added Bond.
“Draquila – trem che l’Italia” is directed by Sabina Guzzanti, a satirist of the political class in Italy.
In an interview for Articolo 21, an Italian website, Guzzanti said that “residents of L’Aquila remained in tents for six months just because the government wanted to present with great pomp the rebuilt homes of the September flood victims ” .
Following the earthquake of April 6, 2009, 308 people died, including five Romanian. Most victims were found under the rubble of buildings of L’Aquila, the city closest to the earthquake epicenter.
