Obama refused journalists’ questions on the day of promulgation of the new press law
U.S. President Barack Obama has enacted a new law on press freedom, but,has ironically, refused any questions from journalists, commenting on CBS.
The new law expands the area of freedom of the press’s annual State Department reports on human rights, which will now include evaluations about press freedom in each country.
“It seemed a good opportunity to highlight press freedom in the United States. ”
Let us remember however that last Friday the President refused journalists’ questions after his speech at the White House, nervous about the Gulf of Mexico oil patch.
Obama has not held any press conferences in peak viewing hours for months, despite requests made by press representatives , “notes CBS, according to Mediafax.
