19 deads and 71 injured in trail derailment in China
A train which goes to Shanghai to the tourist city Guilin, has derailed in Jiangxi province this Sunday morning. At least 19 people died and other 71 were injured, but the numbers could grow due to the severe state that another 11 are in serious conditions and the rescue teams still released passengers from the train. The locomotive and some of the 17 train carriages were derailed, and several others were overturned.
The derailment was caused by a landslide and also damaged the railway lines.
Over 280 passengers were evacuated from the train, and another 53 were extracted from under the wagon, but the actual number of passengers is still unknown.
